Hollywood Movie American Gangster, a 2007 American biographical crime movie directed and produced in the USA by Ridley Scott and written and produced by Steven Zaillian. The film is fictionalized based on Frank Lucas’ criminal career. He was a La Grange, North Carolina gangster who smuggled heroin into America on American service planes. After returning from Vietnam War, Lucas was detained by Richie Roberts’ task force. Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington star in the film, their first roles as lead actors since Virtuosity (1995). Ted Levine, John Ortiz, and Josh Brolin are also featured in the movie: Ruby Dee, Lymari Nal, Cuba Gooding Jr., Chiwetel Emofor, Norman Reedus, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

New York, during the ’70s. Frank Lucas, the quiet driver of the most potent African-American boss in the city, is Frank Lucas. Frank Lucas takes over the role of the boss and becomes the first New York, drug dealer. He carries heroin from Asia. He eliminates all his rivals, including the Italian-American mafia, and is a prominent personality. Detective Richie Roberts soon discovers that something is different in drug trafficking control.
