A lot of cool stuff is happening at USC Annenberg’s Media Center. I got to see firsthand this week.
On Monday, I spoke to students about Evrybit in JOUR 499: Journalism for Mobile and Emerging Platforms. The lab course taught by Amara Aguilar and Rebecca Haggerty is one of the most innovative classes in college journalism today. One of the class assignments is a mobile collaboration project on girls sports with the Los Angeles Times community engagement section.
On Wednesday, I conducted a workshop for undergraduates. The workshop was organized by Gigi Gastevich, the editor-in-chief of Neon Tommy, and Shilpa Nagesh, who leads the mobile and emerging platforms unit.
USC faculty and students are excited to use Evrybit to tell stories. So are we.
