The journalism organization and Detroit came together for a media summit to accelerate their rebirths.
On Sept. 11, UNITY and the Arab American National Museum held a town hall on media representations of Arab Americans and Muslims.
On Sept. 12, UNITY hosted “Empowering The Detroit Story” at Wayne State University. The regional conference brought journalists from around the United States to focus on media literacy, multimedia training, entrepreneurial journalism and how to tackle poverty, inequality and racism.
