Penn State Journalism Program Covers Croke Park Classic Football Game in Ireland

Penn StateFootball in Ireland most often is played with a round ball, but this year, the oblong American pigskin made an appearance. On Aug. 30 in Dublin, Penn State beat Central Florida 26-24 at the Croke Park Classic in the season opener for both teams.

Eight Penn State journalism students and John Affleck, the Knight Chair in Sports Journalism and Society at Penn State, traveled to Ireland to cover the game. Senior Melissa Conrad shares the story of their trip.
