I am having trouble signing up for Evrybit. What should I do?

If you are having trouble registering, contact us at issues@getevrybit.com, and we will help you get set up.

Why do I have to register?

Evrybit users have to register and create personal accounts so we can store media files in a structured way and generate Web feeds with unique IDs for every story that is created. Media files include all of the photos, videos, audios, drawings and text a user produces with the Evrybit app. Without registering and creating an account, users would be unable to string together bits into a narrative stream and view stories in the app or get an embed code to view stories on the Web. We would be unable to ensure every piece of media gets stored in the right user accounts. The registration process is necessary for users to control their media and connect bits into interactive multimedia narratives.

Can I view other people’s Evrybit stories?

Currently, you can view another person’s Evrybit story if he or she shares the link on social media or embeds the story on a website. In the future, you will be able to view other people’s Evrybit stories in the app. In-app story consumption is in development.

How long can audio and video recordings be?

Audio and video recordings can be 45 seconds in length.

Will Evrybit feature stories?

Yes. We want to see your stories and will spotlight the most interesting ones on our blog. If you have a story to share, send us the Evrybit story link to stories@getevrybit.com for consideration.

How do I find the link for my Evrybit story?

Each Evrybit story has a unique story link. A link looks like this: http://evryb.it/?0PBvOyTN. You can find your story link by tapping the link button in the upper right-hand corner of the app while viewing your story. Then, you can share the story link (and embed code) via email.
