History was made Tuesday—and not just because the first reality TV star was elected president of the United States.

Evrybit partnered with seven college journalism programs in seven cities across America to cover Election Day in one story. The collaboration included eight faculty advisers and more than 20 students from Morgan State University (Baltimore), Howard University (Washington, D.C.), Boston University (Boston), New York University (New York City), Notre Dame (South Bend, Ind.), Loyola University (Chicago) and the University of Southern California (Los Angeles).

Reporting began when the polls opened on the East Coast at 7 a.m. EST. Coverage continued all day until the results of the presidential race were announced.

We captured this unprecedented first draft of history in real time.
